Birgit Neu is an independent Senior DEI Advisor and regular speaker, panellist and facilitator focussing on the crossroads of inclusion, AI and the future of work.
She supports organisations including multinational corporates, think tanks, non-profits, and UK sports with DEI strategy design and implementation, responsible AI, change management, research and communications practices. Previously Global Head of Diversity and Inclusion at HSBC, Birgit has had a broad career spanning multiple sectors including digital, retail, publishing and financial services.
She was named to the Top 20 Diversity Professionals in Industry 2020 by Global Diversity List and was Head of Diversity of the Year at the 2019 European Diversity Awards. Birgit is a Visiting Lecturer on inclusion topics for Warwick Business School and a frequent contributor to thought leadership and advisory groups for leading organisations worldwide, including Coqual’s Global Better Work Futures Lab. She holds various UK network leadership roles, including co-founder and co-chair of KNIT (for corporate inclusion specialists), senior advisor to NEXUS LGBTQ+ (for LGBTQ+ employee network leaders), and co-chair of Gender Networks (for women’s/gender employee network leaders). She is also a strategy steering board member for the City of London's Women Pivoting to Digital Taskforce.
